What OS do you use (7, 10, home, pro, N version)? When did it work the last time? Any recent changes\updates you can remember between last time it worked and now in summer when this didn't work? Any antivirus? Dual monitors? Have you installed any softwares that came with your mamaboard?
Satisfactory steam install#
So you've installed the game to both drives, right?, as in different install paths? When having reinstalled, deleted, and also changed paths then it's possibly something that prevents it to run, or it fails due to a Windows component or a setting somewhere that Wmfmedia requires. I thought the Unreal Engine prereq setup uninstall, and then install might have worked but same error. So its not lacking power, just something else. Something about it does not like my machine. So even starting fresh I get the same error. I see files related to this dreaded WMFmedia in that Engine\Plugins\Media folder. I have tried the game both on my SSD and "normal hard drive".

I will write back in a day or so if I had any success!Īlas, no success. Even if I have to start over it would be worth it just to get it working. I have my saves backed up somewhere just in case. Thank you for the suggestions, I will attempt this and get back to you. Right click on the drive, select properties, tools, error checking -> Check button

If it still doesn't work, check your hard drive for errors. If it still doesn't work, go to the Satisfactory install location, inside there is Engine\Plugins\Media folder, delete everything in there and verify the game cache. If it still doesn't work go to the Satisfactory install location, inside there is an Extras folder with a redist folder, go in there and keep going until you find the UE4PrereqSetup_圆4 file and run it.
